Led by an expert from the Lancaster County Bird Club\, this walk is perfect for all ages—whether you’re just getting started or want to sharpen your birding skills.\n\n\n\n When: Sunday\, September 13\, 4–6 p.m.\n Where: East Lampeter Township Community Park (meet at the Lions Pavilion)\n Register to attend: https://eastlampetertownship.org/departments/parks/#birdwalk\n\nLearn how to use binoculars\, field guides\, and birding apps—and keep your eyes peeled for a variety of resident and migrating birds on their fall journey. Please bring binoculars if you have them; a limited number will be available to borrow.\n\n\n In case of bad weather\, cancellations will be announced the day before and registered participants will be notified.\n\n\n\nPresented in partnership with the Lancaster County Bird Club and East Lampeter Township Recreation.

SUMMARY:Ironville Park Raptor Watch
DESCRIPTION:Carl Groff will lead the count at a hawk watch that will take place in the Ironville Community Park parking lot off Prospect Road starting at 9:30 a.m. The viewing area is level and comfortable. Bring chairs and a lunch. The site has public restrooms and a pavilion. Target species will include Broad-winged Hawk\, American Kestrel\, Osprey\, Bald Eagle and Sharp-shinned Hawk. The watch will continue until the flight ends. Feel free to come and go as you wish.  Binoculars are needed and a spotting scope is helpful. This park\, in East Hempfield Township\, is easy walking on well maintained trails. Meet the leader at 8 a.m. in the parking lot on Good Drive which is located just north of the railroad crossing and south of Harrisburg Pike. There is a porta-john at this location.
