Shenk’s Ferry Wildflower Preserve Field Trip

April 12 @ 7:00 am - 11:00 am

Cammy Freed will lead a field trip to Shenk’s Ferry Wildflower Preserve to observe birds and the wide selection of wildflowers, including Trillium, Virginia Bluebells, and Dutchman’s Britches. Participants will meet at the Safe Harbor Park Tennis Courts at 7 a.m. After a short period of birding at Safe Harbor Park we will head to Shenk’s Ferry. Trip limited to 15 participants. Wear sturdy walking shoes and bring binoculars. This trail will be mostly level and well-groomed. The walk is anticipated to last 3 to 4 hours.
