Bruce Carl (717-368-4824 This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) will lead this late winter field trip to Middle Creek WMA.  First option is to meet at 6:00 am at Stop #1 to see flocks of birds disperse from the lake at dawn.  The second option is to join the group at 7:30 am, also at Stop #1.  Waterfowl will be the target species on this trip and there should be plenty to see. We will bird into the early afternoon so bring along any snacks/food/drinks and dress for the weather. The group will view the lake from different areas and look at various ponds and wet areas with the possibility of finding 15-20 species here on a single day to go along with the many thousands of Snow Geese staging at this time of year.  It is a great time to be at Middle Creek.  Some of the target birds include Bald Eagles, Northern Harriers, Ross’s Goose, White-fronted Goose and hopefully an early morning American Woodcock.  Restrooms will be available at the visitor’s center starting at 8:00 am.
